Hello, my name is Bojana.
I handcraft fine Limoges porcelain tableware. It’s been a fifteen-year long journey behind that. I fell in love with the art of ceramics as a student of Chinese language and literature by discovering the minimalistic ideal of beauty of the Far East, contrasts and harmony of solid and fragile. This proved to be the perfect introduction to porcelain.
With a lot of enthusiasm I moved to China and got disappointed; after returning home I did the most monotonous job in a large retail chain; spent five years as a language instructor and all through that, one thing has kept me focused - the seductive meditative atmosphere of making ceramics.
In early 2013, I felt ready to start a new life. That’s when porcelain and Re:art:concept happened. I wanted to make a clear and simple design, inspiring and utile in different situations.
Then, a movie moment happened.
- Whatever you want.
(three weeks later)
- Hun, which closet is mine?
(two and a half years later)
- Where shall we put the crib?
Rade worked in a TV production company when we met. He likes to cook and write. Being fed up with his job, we decied to join forces in Re:art when our daughter was born since the need to have our family business was growing strong. His job now is to let me focus on design and studio work.
In the summer of 2016, we were lucky enough to find a perfect space in a downtown Skadarlija district in the historical part of Belgrade for our first shop and studio. Our families helped us and the new era of Re:art started on September 1, 2016.
So, let me show you my work
